Reimbursement Policy

Although we make every effort to prepare for special circumstances such as extreme weather, service requests may overload our phone lines. During extreme weather conditions, CAA responds to calls on a priority basis, providing service first to members whose vehicles are blocking roadways or otherwise posing a threat to public or personal safety.

Under severe weather conditions and periods of intense service activity, CAA reserves the right to suspend service to members whose vehicles are in an unsafe area, or cannot be reached safely. Your patience and understanding in these circumstances is greatly appreciated.

If you aren’t able to get service from CAA, or its affiliated contractors, we’ll reimburse you for services provided by another facility.

If you have contacted our Emergency Road Service and assistance is not available, you may obtain your own service, pay for it and submit the receipt to your Club within 60 days.

Reimbursement will be based on the prevailing commercial rate for the region where the vehicle was disabled. If the CAA service WAS AVAILA BLE but not used, reimbursement will be made at the local contract rate, subject to approval by CAA.

Reimbursement will be processed after you submit an original, official, itemized invoice for services rendered by a qualified, registered auto service or towing facility. Submit the original copy of your receipt (photocopies not accepted), within 60 days.

ERS Reimbursement Forms are required and can be obtained at CAA Service Centres.

Receipts must accompany Reimbursement Form. Receipts need to include payment documentation, and contain Member’s full name, correct address, vehicle year, make and model, as well as the full name and current address of the licenced Service Facility.
