Fleet Statistics
Our Emergency Road Service (ERS) continues to be the #1 reason people join and stay a member of CAA Manitoba. Approximately 70-75% of all road service calls are in Winnipeg, and answered by our CAA fleet. We supplement this fleet, in high demand seasons, with independent towing contractors. In rural communities, CAA enlists independent contractors to deliver peace of mind road service to CAA Manitoba members throughout the rest of the province.
The CAA TeleCentre handles both road service and member service calls:

The Strange Request File:
CAA drivers have been asked to do the most unlikely things! We've had to just say "no" to some of the strangest requests:
- tow away outhouses
- move large boulders for home landscaping
- out-smart a dog who kept his owner locked out of his truck. Each time the CAA driver unlocked the door, the dog hit the door lock and relocked it! After 5-6 rounds, the owner went to the opposite side to distract the crafty canine.
The Did You Know File:
We've tracked the 25/25 degree temperature variance! 25 is the magic number when it comes to stimulating ERS calls. At -25F, vehicles suffer "no starts," etc. At +25F, they begin to stall. It's a case for a fall and spring automotive inspection to prepare for those extreme Manitoba temperatures.
