What is a Pre-Purchase Inspection?
Pre-Purchase Inspections go beyond the Provincial Safety Inspection to identify
potential problems, particularly in the power train. As a CAA member, you're eligible
for a special rate when you book a CAA Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection at participating facilities.
When should I do a Pre-Purchase Inspection?
We recommend a CAA Pre-Purchase Inspection at three key stages:
- before buying a used vehicle
- before your warranty expires
- before any major repairs
Where do I go for a Pre-Purchase Inspection?
Inspections take place on-site at our select Approved Auto Repair Services (AARS) facilities
located throughout Manitoba. These shops have already met CAA's tough standards to get the AARS
seal of approval. When you see our "AARS" sign on their building, you'll know it's a shop that
provides consistent, high-quality mechanical workmanship.
