MASTERGARD M6000
Protect your vehicle and qualify for an Autopac discount!

MASTERGARD M6000
The M6000 is an electronic vehicle immobilizer that activates automatically and disarms three vital operating circuits when your vehicle is shut down - making it virtually impossible for a thief to start your vehicle.

How does it work?
The M6000 is especially challenging to would-be thieves since each installation is customized to the vehicle being protected. Each M6000 is randomly assigned a unique arming code (one of billions of code variants) and only the corresponding transponder key tag will enable your vehicle to start.

The M6000 is fully automatic, so it's easy-to-use. You enter and exit your vehicle as usual and the M6000 automatically activates within 35 seconds of removing of your ignition key.

MPI Theft-Proofing Program and Autopac discount
A study conducted by the Insurance Bureau of Canada's Vehicle Information Center (VIC) on Canadian vehicles has shown a reduction in the theft cost of at least 50% when vehicles are equipped with recognized immobilizers. Most insurers reflect the reduced theft risk by offering discounts on premiums.

The MASTERGARD M6000 has been tested and approved according to the VIC standard and is eligible for insurance discounts through Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI).

Through MPI's new Theft-Proofing Program:

  • You can protect your vehicle with the MASTERGARD M6000 for as little as $140.
  • You can finance that cost at zero interest.
  • You can use MPI's easy one-stop process to arrange financing and set up an appointment to have your immobilizer installed.
  • AND you'll receive a $40 discount each year on your Autopac premium.

Note: to be eligible for a discount, the M6000 must be installed according to the VIC standards by a registered installation facility. Please call MPI's call centre at 985-7000, toll-free 1-800-665-2410, deaf access TTY/DDD 985-8832 to confirm your eligibility for financing and installation of the M6000.
