Conditions of Coverage:

  • The member must be in good standing at the time of accident
  • The member claiming reimbursement must be the driver or a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident
  • The vehicle must be disabled for more than 24 hours
  • Reimbursement will be based on the membership category at the time of accident
  • The accident must occur a minimum of 160 km or more from the member's home
  • The accident must be reported to the nearest police agency
  • A copy of the accident report or insurance report must be submitted with all claims
  • Benefits are provided for a maximum 72 hours from the time of accident
  • Local meals and lodging must be obtained in the general vicinity where the vehicle is disabled
  • Rental vehicles must be obtained from a commercial car rental agency in the general vicinity where the vehicle is disabled in order to reach the original destination or to return home
  • Itemized and receipted original bills covering any expense claim must be submitted with the claim
  • All claims for benefits must be submitted to CAA Manitoba within 60 days of the date of the accident
  • Only one claim per accident may be submitted
