Traveller's Cheques

When you travel, don't carry large amounts of cash - take American Express® Traveler's Cheques. It's the smart way to travel, because if they're lost or stolen they can be replaced. It's the best way to ensure your peace-of-mind while you're travelling
- No-fee traveler's cheques are available in Canadian and U.S Dollar.
- No-fee dual-signature cheques are available in U.S. funds only.
- Large denomination cheques are available on request, by special order.
You can pay for traveller's cheques in the following ways:
- With cash.
- By Interac payment/debit card.
- By money order, bank draft or certified cheque made payable to CAA Manitoba. As a member, you will need to present your valid membership card, driver's license and one other piece of identification.
- With a personal cheque:
- Member must have held a CAA membership for at least one full year and be 18 years of age or older.
- Member has no record of NSF cheques.
- Member owes no funds to CAA.
- Member's personal cheque is MICR encoded and the member's bank name and address is printed on the cheque.
- Member must present valid membership card, driver's licence and another piece of identification - preferably a major credit card.
- Purchase is limited to $5,000 in Canadian funds.
- Traveller's cheques may be purchased by personal cheque once every 10 days only.
Please note: Third party cheques are not an acceptable form of payment.
