There’s lots to consider as we look outward again

After two years of living through the pandemic, we are starting to dream and plan again. While the need to be cautious may continue for many more months, the promise of spring brings a sense of renewal. We are rediscovering and appreciating things that bring joy.

There are so many ways we can continue to explore the world around us. In this edition of CAA Manitoba Magazine, we seek to inspire readers by showcasing how we can safely pursue new adventures in our local communities, around our province and across the continent.

For those who want to stay close to home, we’re helping you explore the wonder of Manitoba’s Dark Sky Preserve and many other interesting activities you can experience when the sun goes down.

If you are ready to venture out a little further afield, you’ll enjoy our feature articles on Gaspé, Que. and the most stunning displays of spring wildflowers across North America.

As we all start to dream again about travelling, one thing is for certain: The nature of travel has changed and, as responsible travellers, we need to be aware of what smart travel entails. Canadians’ attitudes toward travel have shifted, and our trusted Travel Consultants share some important tips on how to travel safely in this new environment.

CAA Manitoba continues to focus on safety and delivering peace of mind to our Members and customers. While this is the foundation of everything we do, we also want to help you discover new adventures as the world reopens. Whether it’s trying a new restaurant, seeing a show in your local community, or taking a trip to see a part of the country or continent you haven’t visited before, we are here to help you navigate the journey.

I hope the pages that follow will inspire and inform as we all start to rediscover the world around us. And I hope you enjoy all the adventures 2022 has in store. We’re here to make them memorable for you.

Stay safe and healthy.

Timothy Scott
