Vehicle Eligibility

As Canada's largest roadside assistance club, CAA provides 24/7 roadside service to a vast array of vehicles. To check that your specific vehicle is covered and serviceable by our technicians, check your vehicle type by clicking on the appropriate tab below.

Trailers

Only holders of the CAA Plus® RV and CAA Premier® RV options are entitled to receive Roadside Assistance for the vehicles listed below.

Services Provided:

    Premier RV: 5
  • Towing – Plus RV: Up to 200 km free
    Premier RV: Up to 200 km free
    plus 1 tow up to 320 km
  • Extrication
  • Flat Tire Service

Eligible Vehicles

Fifth-wheel vehicle

Fifth-wheel Vehicles/Tow Vehicles

Fifth-wheel vehicles are covered under CAA Plus RV; however, fifth-wheel tow vehicles are covered under any CAA membership level. May require two trucks to be dispatched in the event that the truck and trailer are broken down.

Tent trailer

Tent & Utility Trailers
(less than 16 feet in length)

Tent trailer length must be less than 16 feet, including the tow bar.

Utility trailer length must be less than 16 feet and empty. Members will need to remove the contents of the trailer.

Boat trailer

Boat Trailers

A boat trailer is designed to launch, retrieve, carry and sometimes store boats.

Horse trailer

Horse Trailers

Roadside Assistance is available for horse trailers, as long as they are empty. The Member must make arrangements to transport the horse in another trailer.

Enclosed trailer

Enclosed Trailers

Roadside Assistance is available for enclosed trailers, as long as they are empty. The Member must make arrangements to remove the contents of the trailer.

Ineligible Vehicles

Trailers that are not on wheels are not serviceable. Also, service does not include the transport for static trailers – typcially found in trailer parks – from one location to another.
