Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Halifax – Upon arrival, meet your tour director and drive to historic downtown Halifax for a city tour. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner. D

Day 2

Halifax – Enjoy breakfast in Peggy’s Cove, one of the most photographed places in Canada. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg. On the way back to Halifax, stop in Mahone Bay, home to many artisans and scenic views. B/D

Day 3

Baddeck – Depart to Cape Breton Island, travelling east through the communities of Truro and Antigonish. Tonight, enjoy your Extraordinary Experience: attend the opening night concert of the Celtic Colours Festival. B/D

Day 4

Baddeck – Take time this morning to explore on your own. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the centuries-old Fortress of Louisbourg. In the evening, return to the Celtic Colours Festival and experience more local culture and music. B/D

Day 5

Baddeck – Enjoy a morning on your own. In the afternoon, attend a lively céilidh concert at The Gaelic College in St. Ann’s followed by a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. B/D

Day 6

Baddeck – Discover the colourful beauty of Cape Breton on the 298-kilometre route that makes up the Cabot Trail. Travel through Cape Breton National Park and visit the village of Chéticamp, famous for its crafts and Acadian culture. B/BL/D

Day 7

Travel to Halifax Stanfield International Airport for your return flight to Toronto or Winnipeg. B
