Level 3 Travel Advisory COVID-19 Coverage Endorsement
Our mission is to ensure travellers feel confident about their travel insurance coverage. We have made changes to our Emergency Medical policy so that it meets your needs once it is safe for Canadians to start travelling again.
Our Emergency Medical plans already provide coverage for COVID-19 related illnesses that may occur when travelling, no matter vaccination status, when Canadian government travel advisories are at risk level “Exercise normal security precautions” or “Exercise a high degree of caution” (Level 1 or 2).
CAA Travel Insurance Emergency Medical plans now include up to $2.5 million CAD in coverage if partially vaccinated, or up to $5 million CAD in coverage if fully vaccinated, for COVID-19 related illnesses that may occur when travelling at a time when the Canadian government has issued a related travel advisory “Avoid non-essential travel” (Level 3).
Please read the Level 3 Travel Advisory COVID Coverage Endorsement for information on COVID-19 vaccination requirements that must be met before departure, to be eligible for this coverage.
