Activity levels to match your travel style.

Whether you’re a get-up-and-go-go-go type of traveller or prefer to explore at a more leisurely pace, there’s an Extraordinary Explorations tour suited for you. Select your activity level and a destination that intrigues you, and we’ll find the right small-group tour for you.

Light

Ideal for travellers who are comfortable participating in at least three hours of activity per day. These trips usually include touring by coach, with some standing and walking during museum visits or city tours. These tours are also suitable for travellers with lower mobility (our long stay programs include initial sightseeing, with the remainder of the time at leisure).

Moderate

If you’re somewhat active and have a zest for adventure, then this is the trip level for you. These trips may involve more activities or longer touring days with a full schedule. Excursions will include walking and standing for extended periods, walking tours on uneven surfaces or trails, more actively inclined itineraries and may include coach, boat and rail travel.

Active

Travellers who will truly enjoy this type of tour prefer more physical activity for extended periods. Tours may include walking tours between 1–3 km, uneven terrain, steep inclines, climbing stairs (some without railings) and longer periods of standing.
